Sandhill Crane Watchers Special
Every Spring the come... A half million Sandhill Cranes! Some of the best Crane viewing areas are just 10 minutes north of the Pioneer Village. Watch the Cranes in the early morning, rest and relax among the 50,000 historic items in the Pioneer Village during the afternoon and return to see the Cranes gather at sunset, a perfect day. Ask about our special package that includes two 2 day admission passes for you and your guest to the Pioneer Village and one night in a newly updated spacious comfortable room at the Pioneer Motel. If you would like to take in all the Crane viewing areas while you are here, add a second night at the Pioneer Motel and receive a third day admission pass for both you and your guest to the Pioneer Village Free.

Fiber Fun Day 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Prairie Fibers Weavers and Spinner Guild artisans will be demonstrating various fiber arts to honor the memory of Lois Nelson, a founding member of the Guild, who shared her love of the fiber arts with others by teaching and demonstrating spinning and weaving at the Pioneer Village for more than 40 years. Spinning, weaving and the use of natural dyes are some of the hands on activities the Guild will be demonstrating. ne

Minden Adult Community Band Concert 2:00 p.m.
The community band will be performing at the Pioneer Village in honor of the 63rd anniversary of the Pioneer Village

Echoes of Independence
The Maverick band will be performing on the "Village Green" at 2:00 pm. The Band plays a variety of patriotic numbers and classic marches. The concert is free to Pioneer Village guests.
